Reception - Year 2/P1-3
- Years 1-2/P2-3 Story Street provides gradual progression
appropriate for 5-7 year-olds
- By the end of Step 3 (end of Year 1/P2), children have been
introduced to 104 NLS Sight Recognition Words
- By the end of Step 6 (end of Year 2/P3), children have been
introduced to 165 NLS Sight Recognition Words
Years 3-4/P4-5
- Years 3-4/P4-5 Story Street provides gradual progression
appropriate for 7-9 year-olds
- The characters are growing up and new characters are added
- The stories continue to use humour and strong storylines
- Stories also now cover many childhood issues which link to Citizenship
and PSHE topics
